Daytona Avant ready for the Sun

With the weather being so good lately and having 6 hours to waste today I thought I'd use that time than give the car a decent clean.

After a fair few hours of minor swirl correction I used Poorboys EX-P Sealant followed by G3 Super Gloss Wax. The paint was really popping in the sun with this combo.

This is Stu's (forum member) old car and after buying it from him in October I have continued to maintain it regardless of cost. Hopefully Stu will see this post and know that his pride and joy is in good hands still.

I may be looking to sell in a few months due to major changes in work. I can't justify the mileage on a car like this, nor do I want to have it sat in the garage for 90% of its life. But, for now....she's staying here.

I think that will do for now, enjoy!

Looks awesome! Did you use a machine polisher? If so what are you using? Had a real tough time on mine with a Kestrel S/A as Audi Paint is diamond hard!

Thanks for the comments.

Looking good Scub37.

Wotsrib, I used a makita Rotary polisher with Menzerna products. Although I can't remember which grade the main cut was (older formula than those available now and the labels are shot) it may have been Fast Gloss but not 100%, then refined with Super finish. I've always found the Menzerna products work well on VAG paints. I've always found BMW paints to be rock hard though.

Oakesy, Scub37 - both looking real nice.

Daytona does look great, here is another freshly laundered example - shame it got rained on today....
