Meyle HD front suspension arm kit...

Post by audi_do_dat_den » Sat Feb 27, 2016 7:48 pm

Im trying to buy a 12 piece Meyle HD suspension kit and i need some tech advice from thems who know stuff....

Is the standard A4 B7 the same as the RS4 B7 when it comes to front suspension links and arms, bushes and so on...?

Theres a ton of Meyle HD 12 piece kit sellers on Ebay, but the descriptions all state a multitude of car variants from a standard A4 through Skoda models and even the A6.... and so on....

Also, why does the price vary so greatly for kits of the exact same description?
Im seeing prices from £260 up to £500....

Just tried to contact a seller specialising in these kits, who is in Redruth, Cornwall (not far from me), and i couldnt because apparently the seller receives an 'extremely high number of enquiries'..... so i wont bother even buying from them if they have a <beep> attitude towards answering customers enquiries.
I only wanted to know if its suitable for the RS4 model....

Any advice or clues would be vastly appreciated.

Lemforder will be a better option, it works out dearer, but they last longer

Try pweuroparts.co.uk. They should be able to sort you out.
I was always under the impression that the Meyle HD were better than the lemforder?
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Ive just changed all mine , I ordered mine for these guys https://www.europaparts.com/control-arm ... 085hd.html

While I was on the phone he took payment , and before the phone went down there were ready for dispatch. sent same day 4 days later arrived with me

total of £460 with shipping and tax . He also said any problems just give them a call and they will send over a replacement part

Ignore the £44 per arm on euro car parts as there not correct ,there more like £109 per arm. I know the guy in my local branch and he looked up a full kit which nearly hits £1k

Nice well made kit with everything you need in the box!!! car feels a lot tighter now :biggrin3:

I used this german seller on ebay at £360 inc postage currently:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331294879654

Very pleased, fitted them last year, come recommended and what a difference, with a 4 year warranty....
