I was 17 when the B7 RS4 came out and I watched Clarkson give it the thumbs up on top gear. Since then I've been waiting for this day. FINALLY picked one up last week and boy was it worth the wait!
I'm trying to future proof my spending by buying a few of the expensive parts now while I have the cash and before I sink it into the next business venture. I'm looking to pick up some rear discs for one as I figure the ones I have currently probably have 3000-4000 miles on them tops. There is loads of reading about alternate discs/rotors for the fronts, but not a great deal for the rear.
I've found a great supplier for some RS5 b8 rear discs and the chap selling them swears blind that they can be used on the rs4, despite the increased diameter (5mm larger). Does anyone have any experience of this, or failing that know of any cheaper alternatives to the £650 oem discs!?
Cheers,
Will

Re: Rear Discs/alternatives
I've got a new oe disc left I think £250 delivered
Re: Rear Discs/alternatives
Thanks mate. Think I'll wait and try and find a pair in case I struggle to get hold of another single, or is it fairly straight forward to buy the L/R rears as singles?

Re: Rear Discs/alternatives
BG developments do custom brake bells/discs for anything.
I recently got front and rear AP discs and bells to suit for a decent price! plus when it comes to replacement discs you'll be looking at around £100-150 less then Audi prices and the discs are much better!
Make sure you replace the pads at same time as if the discs are very worn then the pads will be uneven and cause your new discs to wear funny too.

Your "great supplier" can keep swearing until he is deaf as well as blind. The RS5 discs are not only larger in diameter, the offset is different as well. They won't fit unless you turn down the diameter and fit spacers between the disc and hub.
