Turbos!!!

There's no way it would fit in the engine bay in that configuration. I'm guessing this was done as an experiment to see how much power you could get from these engines had there been more room. I'm suprised someone hasn't fitted one of these and turbo'd it in a bigger engine bay before. I know MRC turbo'd their R8 V8 but it'd be an interesting choice for a hot rod / kit car type vehicle or even a modded S8 maybe.PetrolDave wrote:With the size & position of the turbos and the size of the intercooler it probably wouldn't fit in the engine bay of a B7 either.
Au contraire. Shows it mocked-up on each side early in the thread, then shows the engine built-out from the front. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthrea ... rid=356571MikeFish wrote:There's no way it would fit in the engine bay in that configuration. Very impressive, but he has no secondary firewall or headlights. So I stand by my comment and maybe add the words "There's no way it would fit in the engine bay of a road car in that configuration". Shows what a great engine it is though and the potential if only there was more room.iduff wrote:Au contraire. The abuse wasn't just because it was on audizine - it is said that he has a history on audizine of claiming results (such as 1/4 mile times, bhp figures, etc.) but always refuses to provide any evidence), and when I was reading the thread it was proven that he claimed the 1/4 mile times from another car.FaisalJ wrote:There's a dude on audizine that's twin turbo'd his B7. Got a lot of abuse in the process too, being Audizine.

Ah, I hadn't read all the posts, sounds fair enough then if he's been making <beep> up!PetrolDave wrote:The abuse wasn't just because it was on audizine - it is said that he has a history on audizine of claiming results (such as 1/4 mile times, bhp figures, etc.) but always refuses to provide any evidence), and when I was reading the thread it was proven that he claimed the 1/4 mile times from another car.FaisalJ wrote:There's a dude on audizine that's twin turbo'd his B7. Add to that his history of having multiple handles, all of which had the same misleading posts, and I think the abuse he got was almost certainly deserved.
He's started a Phase 2 upgrade for more power which he says includes some internal changes to the engine but still hasn't shown verified results for Phase 1 (no verified time slips for 1/4 mile, no timed runs against other audizine members, etc.) .Shinobi675 wrote:He half came good at the end though, but was all very weird throughout! He denied he was the others, got given the benefit of the doubt but really nobody fully believed him
