Help!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All,
So I decided after having my car since I bought it in October there I would like to get it on the rollers to see what power it was putting out. Just for my own piece of mind. So I got the car booked in and it went on the rollers this morning.
To say I got a shock was an understatement. After the first 4 consistent runs it returned a result of 264.2 HP at the fly wheel. Holy

are you kidding me on is that all....
After some trouble shooting there was a vacuum leak detected at the air box intake valve. This was sorted and then another 4 consistent runs were carried out. This time returning the reading of 291.3 HP at the fly wheel.
Very disappointed as I was hoping it would have been running around the mid 300's.
I'm looking for some advise on to why it is so down on power. I have read a bit about the carbon build up on the intake manifold and that it helps to have it cleaned. But is it normal seeing a reading as low as 291.3 HP?
Thanks for all your help.

Get booked into MRC, they'll fix it.
Alright, alight, everything's gonna be alright

Might be worthwhile getting it on the dyno somewhere else just to compare.
Also, have you driven other rs4s to get a feel how quick they should be and is yours any different?
I'm interested as I've done none of the above and mine seems to do the 3rd gear test about right.

I put my old supercharged b7 on one those dyno's. Dyno'd 640 at Mrc and 480 on the other rollers. If Mrc are handy enough I'd give them a visit

Good idea Mike to get a comparison done, although you would expect the readings to be accurate.
I've never driven another RS4 so I can't compare. What do you mean by the 3rd gear test?

Wow 160 of a difference that is unbelievable. Might try a comparison run somewhere else then before I take the plunge and head to MRC.

If you have
VCDS and a laptop or a Bluetooth OBD dongle and a smartphone / tablet you could log some mass air flow readings which will tell you if you are really down on power or had a bad dyno.

I'm probably better leaving that department to the experts Mike.

I'm located in Kilmarnock, would be great to compare. Agreed about needing some love, really want to get the best out the car or there's no point having it.

Yeh I know andy from his old focus days. I never used anyone up here i always went down to Mrc. The ecotune dyno in Hillington seems to read well maybe give them a shot. There's a few Edinburgh lads on here who should be able to offer alternatives for you. If I can find my old
Vagcom cable I'd be happy to help you run some checks. I know the b7 pretty well
