A few weeks into my B14 and the creaks and groans over slow speed bumps are now getting a bit much. had the car into garage after first fortnight to check on things / ride height etc and was told everything checked over ok. Now another couple of weeks in and noise, mainly front end is getting louder, maybe even a clunk from front drivers. Will get it back in of course but likely culprits? Top arms replaced at same time of coilovers and also H&R ARB fitted. Read maybe ARB bushes or top mounts (replaced also at time of B14s) or lack of grease???
Anyway drives perfectly but ditched the DRC to remove noise / problems not to make it sound like an old boat : (
Any thoughts / actual experience of the problem (sorry for poor description).
Cheers,
D

Re: Bilstien B14s = noisy
Considering fitting the Bilstein set up myself so I would be interested to know if this is a common problem
We have no Audi dealer on the IOM so I can't get the DRC system recharge done and it means a trip to Unit 20 when a damper needed changing, fitting these would mean no more suspension problems to worry about but if the Bilsteins causes noises I will stick with the DRC set up

Hello,
I do have the same problem on my B14. It is not serious but very annoying.
The problem comes from the blue plastic part inside the spring. When the shock absorber compress, this blue part curves.
You will notice that on b16's, this part is not straight line but with a kind of pleat.
B14 :

B16 :

The "easy" solution is to spray a kind of silicon grease on the blue plastic part to stop the noise when the spring stress it.
The hard solution is to change the blue plastic part for a B16 model ...
Fyi the B14 blue plastic tube Ref is :
E4-SR1-Z008A03 / BILSR1Z008A03 => TUBE DE PROTECTION D 46 L136 => 13,44 euros
Yesterday Bilstein said on their facebook page they were organizing an Audi enthusiast meeting... maybe it is the moment to write something on their page ?!
Here is the link => https://www.facebook.com/bilstein.de/po ... 4338294173
We are 2/3 RS4 owners on the french audi forum to have the same problem.
Hope it's clear and sorry for my poor french.

The Bilstein meeting is in UK :
If you're an Audi enthusiast, come and join us at our UK HQ in Leicestershire on Sunday 20th at 10am for our 'Car Park Meet' with AudiTuner magazine. Plenty of great cars, the chance to meet our team and see our facilities, as well as get great set-up advice and deals on your suspension.
It would be great if you could meet / contact them and maybe get a solution !

I have B14's and can't say I have the same issue set to a reasonable hight but I did notice the suspension moan and groan when slammed but went away when I raised her.
