Recommend a wax to me, used britemax vantage since last summer with good results. What else out there will give me a shine? It's for my phantom black saloon
Cheers

i use blackfire midnight sun on mine works brilliant , with half the panel done the difference is really noticable much deeper gloss and the flake pops more , mine is Phantom black too.
lots of polishes are good , high Carnauba is always a good sign , get what you pay for , mine is over 2 years old now so maybe something better around now

It depends what you want to achieve.

Wax is purely a protective layer. the shine comes from polish.

Of the shelf products are ok, but for a tad more and a bit more effort the results can be much better :)

It's all about the lacquer - the flatter the surface the better the shine.

You can put no end of product on the top, but quality and depth will always depend of the prep.

All this bollox pigmented wax is a complete waste of time and money, it's like shining your windows with coloured wax, utter gimmick.

The amount of garbage I've read on detailing world is unbelievable.

I reiterate, imagine having a window full of scratches, no end of waxing will make it clear and shine like a diamond, it needs all the scratches removing first.

Then the majority of good waxes (£30-50+) will do their job. Then you're paying for longevity.

correct  , the blackfire is just a good Carnauba wax with no colourants and was about 40 notes iirc

The car will have fresh paint, so it's more to add a little protection until I've been on holiday and can get the car detailed properly in the summer,
Been looking at swissvax best of show....

Collinite 476S. A bit of a workout to take off but leaves a long lasting coat

I have a Phantom Black breadvan. I have tried a bunch of waxes and polishes. My current fav is the Japanese Fusso99 Dark. It cures real quick so its straight on and off, one panel at a time - but for the effort it takes it works incredibly well and covers minor scratches up a treat. Another good one I use is AutoFinesse Illusion - makes the flake pop really nicely.

Mak.

I've gone for swissvax best in show, I'll post some results once the paints had a chance to harden and I give it a fettling
