Just bought myself a Daytona grey saloon with 65k on it

2 mth in and the steering has gone all funny

By funny I mean driving along and it's steering itself and I'm forever having to correct it. Checked all wheel nuts suspension links etc for ply and I seem to have narrowed it down to the steering rack!

Been reading on the forums about the steering mounting bolts so I have checked the 1 under the battery cover and it was solid

I have asked audi for a price of a new rack and was quoted £1200 plus fitting !!!!!

Is there anything else it could be?? Before I have to sell a kidney
