New gear stick (pic)

Post by rob-s » Tue Mar 03, 2015 9:22 am

I received and installed yesterday a new gear stick (poke) into my RS4:

It is an OEM Audi A1 sport version and is to my surprise made of solid aluminium:)

Looks good mate. I thought it was from an R8 until I read it was from an A1. Very surprising, like you say.

On a separate note, I noticed you are are 102k km and in Finland. In the UK some people fear cars over 100k miles (160k km) , I suppose from back in the day when cars where less robust. Where as there are many of us enthusiasts that believe a higher mileage car can actually prove a better car in the long run. In Finland is there a stigma attached to mileage at all and if so what mileage is it?

I personally think it at least normal that a car from 2006 has a mileage above 100000km but of course when planning to buy one its also normal that you seek one with a little km's on the teller as possible. Mine has now 102kkm and is still in near new condition, thanks to pedant care taking and Daytona grey color:)

Here a close up:

The top of this gear stick is very similar to the RNS-E buttoms.
