I am ready for a new set of boots and would like some good suggestions on what to go for next?
I am currently running Michelin Sports Cup 2 which have been generally ok abeit wear factor, bearing in mind I push the car fairly hard.
Considering michelin SuperSport...?
Anyone running ADO8's/R888's as they are contenders also?
Revolution supplied last set, anyone recommendations in others?

Re: Best of both worlds tyre?
For semi slicks I used to get Kumho V70A (V700) which I found slightly better than R888s in terms of wear and performance but especially noise. Then again I don't think I could run semi slicks on a car for road use. As soon as it rains they're a liability, plus the extra wear and rolling resistance is pointless for the kind of driving you're supposed to do on public roads.
But I believe the V70As aren't available in a suitable 19" size, sadly. Same might be true for the Federal RSRs, which are a no nonsense track day tire similar to R888 but vastly cheaper.
PSS are good, and the older PS2 as well. Best road tires you can get. If you're really tracking the car a lot, having a second set of wheels would be handy. Again, I wouldn't run R compound tires on the street even if it was only on dry Sunday afternoons.

^ what he said!
MPSS are great tyres and you'd be hard pushed to find a better all rounder. Wouldn't be going for semi slicks on the road personally, but appreciate you've run MPC+ already. The semi slick tyres come with a lot less tread that road tyres too. I think R888's are really aimed at lighter cars. I know people do use them on heavy buses but I don't think they're at their best and probably go off quicker. For a semi slick tyre I think you've already run the cream of the crop.

Re: Best of both worlds tyre?
I've recently gone onto MPSS, only covered a few hundred miles but I like them, very positive grip even from cold.
I used to run Toyo R1R's on my Impreza, they were really good even in the wet considering they were fast road / track orientated, decent wear rate. Lasted longer than the continental tyres I had on the Audi.

Re: Best of both worlds tyre?
Cheers guys for advice.
Spoke to Revolution whom i sourced my previous Cup 2's from and explained my needs and they are getting some great feedback from B7 owners running Yokos Advan V105.....
Any one running these on here?
Tick all boxes especially wear/noise/grip!
I am looking at buying a spare set of rims for the odd track day, as even one track session can muller a new set as i found out at Spa

Don't know if you can get these on your side of the Atlantic....
Bridgestone RE11: They are the perfect compromise for track and summer daily driver IMO...
The have OEM size 255/35/19... but I am running 275.30/19 that are perfect... be warned... they require a VERY VERY knowledgeable tire guy to install these.
I have 2 sets of rims/tires... and use the older warn set for track... and rotate the newer ones to track work when I need to... LOVE them!
