VagCom and truck key fob /lock settings

Can the trunk (open) key on the fob be programmed to open the truck and NOT re-lock once the trunk is closed?
Getting tired of locking the key in the trunk with the key left in the trunk...

Not that I'm aware of but if you keep doing it why don't you unlock the car rather than just pop the boot?

Because someone other than myself... keeps putting her purse in the boot with groceries

No, there's no coding option for that.

I don't see why that is an issue if you unlock the doors rather than just the boot. Break the boot open button if need be.
