Iam currently on the hunt for avant Rs4
Criteria for me was low owners Ect

I have come across a car however has 6 owners !! Btw Cars got great history 60k miles & good condition
If I am honest ,It has kind of put me off !!
Am i being a pussy ......would this put you off purchasing used Rs4

hi, i wouldnt be put off with the number of owners if the car is right spec and condition and it has a great service history and has been looked after. mine has a few owners also and the previous owner only had it 4 months. it turned out it was dearer to keep on the road then he had imagined.

Number of owners should not be a concern, it's only a figure. Judge the car on condition, history and supporting paperwork.

Has stated, History, condition and if important Spec is everything owners come and go.

My car has had 7 owners. Did not put me off

Just to echo the others..

Mine also had more owners than I would have considered with most other cars. But it seems with an RS4 they do get through owners faster. I guess it is a case of them being more expensive to run and people don't appreciate it. As above, the guy I got mine from had it a matter of months!

IMO overall condition of the car, and how well the owners have looked after the car is much much more important than quantity of owners

Typical scenario for a high performance car. 2 owners on the log book are usually ex-demo or pre-registered then at least one who can't afford to run it!

IMO it's far easier to hide a murky history if it's one owner, especially mileage.

I'd agree with all the above. Mine has had 4 previous owners, one of whom was also a member of here, and judging by its condition has been pampered by all. Some just buy them to cross them off their bucket list so don't own them long. If you think back to Cosworths, they were regularly for sale with 10+ owners. History and condition will sort the good from the bad.
And with a sneaky plug, mine is for sale if you're looking for an avant.

Buy these cars on condition nowadays,low owners would of been nice 3 or 4 years ago but now finding a nice one is hard enough,I know why your concerned,high owners can be for negative reasons and does arouse suspicion but it can be completely innocent too! If the car is a good one you might have to consider it nowadays.

Again very much the same mine had more owners than I really would have wanted but every thing checked out and to be fair each owner put some TLC into it but I guess for one reason or another had to let it go

I've seen some real shitty 1-2 owner cars but it's your money he choice is yours

Condition is key IMO. Have you seen the supercharged one. Higher mileage, but clearly been well loved and used regularly which is arguably better for them than sitting around more often than not.
