De-Flash back to OEM

Post by leadfoot » Fri Dec 19, 2014 2:16 pm

I would like to go back to the OEM ECU flash… as the current ECU has been flashed by Revo.

Can Audi update my ECU, effectively overwriting the Revo flash, and move me back to stock ECU flash (quoted approx 2 hours work)? In speaking to my service guy at Audi… he was not sure it would completely remove the Revo, and I am afraid of ending up with problems.

The reason for this is to get base maps for MRC, so that I can start with a Stage 1 flash, and the “quiet start”… as the ECU has to be shipped overseas to them (I am in Toronto)… and then I have the flexibility to move to Stage II or TTS down the road, with reflashing done remotely.

Ps I would like to hear about other people’s experiences with MRC and remote reflashing… you can PM me if you would prefer.

Thx M

Contact mrc direct, I believe they can flash it back to stock before putting there map on the ecu. Did it for me when I visited and rather unsurprisingly my car made more power on the stock map than on the previous poor flash tune.

The problem is they want to see the data from the stock ECU, on my car... and since I am in Toronto, it cant be done without sending them the ECU, reflash to stock, ECU back to me, output data, and then ECU to them... Would be a non issue if I was over there.
