bilstien B14's
bilstien B14's
As above really, anyone had any experience with them. From my research they appear to be softer than the softest setting on the B16 versions. Was thinking of these as there is a set going cheap on the bay, and I think that my DRC is on its way out.
Re: bilstien B14's
I Enquired about this kit a few weeks back and the reply I got from Bilstein was that the comfort is equivelant to the middle setting on the PSS9 kit
I'm going this route after the new year, I researched a lot and couldn't find anyone who could give real work feedback, but I've owned PSS9s on both my previous cars and have been very impressed, so surely the B14 can't be too bad, I'm willing to take the risk anyway
For that price on ebay you can't go wrong, go for it I say

Cheers for the feedback and advice mate. I think I'll take a punt and see what happens. Then I'll be able to give you some feedback too !!

Let's do it
I've just purchased some wheels otherwise could have gone on B14s sooner
Look forward to hearing your feedback

I have had a couple of customers give me feedback on these fairly recently. Its been all good.
Having used pss9's in the past i would be confident of the b14 kit being impressive.

Put these on mine a couple of months back after DRC failure... A little firmer than stock, but you quickly get used to it.
I liked the idea of the adjustable damping on the B16's, but the reality is I'd never change it once it's on so went for the B14.
Whacked on some spacers at the same time, and I really like the new stance.

Re: bilstien B14's
How do these compare with the eibach pro street s? I had a set of those fitted to an e36 m3 and they were excellent. The b16 was too expensive at the time, I hadn't heard of the b14, possibly not available then?

At last, a couple of real life experiences!!
Any pics fellas? I'd like to see how they sit too if possible
Either of you guys running uprated ARBs with the B14s?

Excellent ! I don't mind it a little firmer but not to harsh. Some pics would be great, i already have 10mm spacers on the front and 12mm on the rear so would be a good comparison !

Re: bilstien B14's
Sold the m3 now I'm afraid, but that was my run around so I didn't put miles on the 996, it handled perfectly, was a great hack to the Nurburgring and honestly felt as good as the 996, not quite as much grip though but close.
Only issue was it was a little low, not excessive but it did scrap a few speed bumps.
If I can find some pictures at home will post them up.
I did drawl over a set of pss9s though at the time... But like somebody said earlier, Id never be arsed to adjust them! The eibach are ride height adjust only I think.

Is that at the lowest ride height on the B14? If not how much more is left to wind down?
How do you find the ride comfort?
