but seiously out of the others the i think the TTS kit is the best looking, could maybe do with the original carbon fiber piece for the back of the engine modding to cover the pipes near the throttle body.

I do think the JHM modifications to the airbox with the exposed filter element really lets it down from an aesthetic point of view.

The MTM I agree with SAR looks like it's still in R&D. Visually the TTS looks good to me and I've seen Kim's Whipple - that looks good too....

depending on how far stage 2 is away i might look into some sort of air box fabrication.

I tried and I tried to keep it clean when I typed that, but thought I'd let someone else finish 'Kim's Whipple' off :biggrin2:

yeah - if it were me, I'd be looking to keep the bumper ducting from the bumper to the flexible rubber join and binning the second part that goes into the old airbox.

hopefully i will have time to finish up this thread in the next week.
with work, building an extension on my house, going on holiday, laptop dying and losing all my pictures and just general life i just havnt had a lot of free time. so i thought i would get a few miles on the car before i finished up the thread.

the mapping process went fine (ill explain all about it in my final update), the car runs fine i have now done nearly 3000 miles since the install.
basically it feels and drives exactly the same as a normally aspirated rs4 just a lump faster, i have not dynoed it or taken it to a 1/4 mile track so have no figures but have done a few 3-8krpm tests and the quickest i have done is about 6.2-6.3 seconds.

Sar, are the kits you get pretty much self explanatory? I mean in the hands of a competent mechanic, would it be relatively straight forward without too much trouble? By that I mean are they bolt on and use existing fixing points or is there drilling and tapping involved and do you need to make custom hoses/pipes or is it all in the kit? Roughly how many hours do you think from start to finish is involved with installing one?

Thanks,
Chris.
