Hey guys,

So my car wouldnt unlock this morning, thought the battery in the key was flat, replaced it, but to no avail.
Tried to unlock it with my spare key, however also no success.
Do you guys have an idea what could be the issue?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried unlocking it manually with the key?

Ie the battery could be flat

If it's not flat and you open the door it may well reset after turning the ignition on

is there any noise from the door lock motor?

As for the alarm - it's not loud. at all. in the slightest.

Came right- unlocked the door with the key turned on the ignition and then turned it off.
Removed the key then hit the unlock button and bob's your uncle.

Check your drivers door is locking?

My B7 did a similar thing....all other doors and boot locked/unlocked apart from drivers door.

You have 20 - 30 seconds after unlocking the drivers door manually to put the key in the ignition before the alarm goes off. I have to unlock mine manually from time to time - possibly because I sometimes don't drive it for over a week. And yes I agree the alarm is quieter than a lorry reverse bleep, its pathetic!
