Milltek non-resonanted vehicle inspection don't like

Greeting all
Went to the regulary vehicle inspection here in Denmark yesterday. This must be passed every two years and are most probably the same in the UK (EU rules) The guy who examined my car, complained about the noise from my Milltek non-resonanted non valve exhaust.
Tried my best to tell him, that if he find it too noisy and breaking any rules, he must prove it
No, he said and explained, I should be able to present a noise certificate showing it within the limits. Tried to search Millteks homepage for a noise certificate, but without success. Anyone knows what to do, or where to find such an certificate ?

We have a noise limit in our car tests here in Ireland also, mine is non-res but valved. They are supposed to test that its within the acceptable limits.
Did they test yours or just say its not in the limits? Seems weird that you have to prove it is, what’s the point of the inspections?
Have you tried to contact Milltek directly?

As the police like to tell me every time I get pulled over, in the UK it is illegal to modify the exhaust in any way that makes it noisier than standard.

Take it to another testing station one that accepts €20 Euro's or £20 in the glove compartment this normally adjusts the hearing
And tell the original testing station to get a life "it's an RS4"

And they are correct, but because of the hassle of the paperwork (and a misunderstanding by some Police forces that it's not something they can prosecute you for) that's normally as far as it gets. Strictly speaking since a noise drive-by test is part of the vehicle homologation then fitting an exhaust that would not pass that noise test invalidates the homologation.
But are we bothered? No. The car manufacturers "play the rules" - the manufacturer I used to work for took all their cars to a site in Belgium for the noise test as it had an unusually quiet piece of tarmac
My6 RS4 passed the MOT last year with a non-res valved Milltek and no comment was made.

Mines just passed with a non-res Milltek (valved) - just find another MOT test station and ask if the are 'RS4' friendly - if they want your service they'll say 'yes'.

Just curious but are dealer fitted sports exhausts type approved?

No, that's why they have to be dealer fitted and not factory fitted.

I believe that in Denmark they require the TUV approval. At least that is the document needed in Finland for all not original parts fitted to a car.

Maidstone Audi passed mine with 100 cell cats and non res valved Milltek, it took a while for the cats to get hot enough to pass though.

Thanks for all the fine answers.
TUV is the right approval certificate to optain. TUV is the German approval institute for car parts and parts once approved in one EU country, means approved in all.
Will try to contact Milltek to optain such a certificate and ask them why they don't make the certificate availibel on there home page.
