Hi Rs Lovers

Recently the emission light appeared on the dash, So i had Vag Com plugged in and it came up with the following errors:

bank 1 s1 O2 sensor heating circuit short ground
bank 1 s2 O2 sensor heating circuit short ground
bank 2 s1 O2 sensor heating circuit short ground
bank 2 s2 O2 sensor heating circuit short ground

So i had the car up on the ramp for an inspection and found the o2 sensor bank 2 s2 ( which i believe is post cat - passenger side). The loom has been catching on the prop causing the heat shrink to come away and affecting one of the white wires, this wire which had strands of copper touching the prop also. I have repaired the wire and loom and cleared the faults.

In doing this i have had no luck and still the errors have come back instantly. :FIREdevil:

So i again ran the following checks:

1- Checked all four o2 sensors heating element. Pins 1 & 2 read below 10 ohms and are closed circuit. This only tells me that the heating element is ok. Did these check with the sensors unplugged from the loom.
2 - checked current draw on all 4 sensors. images attached -
3 - Checked the fuses on the drivers dash - all ok

The plugs for the o2 sensors were awkwardly situated next to the box, however the looms seems to run above the box which is impossible to inspect, unless the box is dropped.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Anis.

For future reference all 4 lambda sensors are wired through a 15amp fuse which is located underneath the ECU.

All sorted now!!
