My pride and joy stolen Cambs area

Hi guys,

Had the pride and joy stolen yesterday, gutted is an understatement. 3 scumbags smashed the back patio door at 8:40 when the missus did the school run. First day this week when they had a chance so must have been waiting for their opportunity. Didn't steal anything else, passed 3 laptops and an ipad on the way through the house, took the car keys and off they went. Neighbour spotted them and called the police who passed the news to my wife. 5 cop cars in the road in 15 mins but they were long gone by then. Guess they were hoping for a hot pursuit !

Wife was very nervous calling me at work to break the news. I took it very calmly actually as I was so glad the wife and kids were not around to potentially get in their way. I can replace a car but not the missus, well maybe the missus but not the kids.

So tracker activated but no signal yet. Probably being stripped in a lockup somewhere or in a container leaving the country.

So if you are in the Cambs/Beds area and hear of some cheap RS4 B7 parts let me know as I wouldn't mind speaking to these gentlemen.

Daytona grey with gloss black alloys. Solar sun roof which may make it stand out. Alu trim, buckets and FBSW. CD auto changer in the glove box but alas no chips or scuffs to make it more recognisable. Circle of glue on the dash far right corner where a parrot/road angel used to be, could never shift it.

Depending on the insurance payout I will probably look to replace like for like but the missus will need some convincing

Jas300z - total scumbags. Feeling your pain on every level. It's 'only' a car compared to the wife and kids, but equally...

Hope it gets sorted...

Blimey,

Thought these would have lost their appeal by now !!

I'll ask a few people I know in the trade to keep an ear out.

Sounds like an identical story to when mine was nicked in July from Sussex.
Ironically a mate of mine (probably) saw it less than 10 miles away the following morning! Might be worth going cruising tomorrow am on the main roads nearby just on the off chance it's going t be moved after they've convinced themselves they've found every tracker.

Thinking about it more, your story is remarkably similar- might be worth me passing on the name of the CID officer looking at mine to see if its the same POS who are responsible.

Stolen - recovered does not look good on a HPi check so would prefer to get a good payout as it will never be the same (to me at least)

Problem is I bought it when it was 3 years old and it has been cherished ever since. No expense spared. Not sure I want to replace it with a car that is 6 years old whose history I do not know. Just not the same...

Will keep an eye on ebay in the hope something surfaces that helps them get caught

Told the missus I would replace like for like but she is worried they will come back again. Sad times we live in when you cannot spend your hard earned on something nice for fear of some toe rag taking a shine to it.

They were pros - Tracker is about as much use as a chocolate teapot in recovering cars stolen by pros.
