Hi All,

Merry Christmas!

I need a bit of help from y'all. I'm sure this has been covered probably more than once but can't seem to find an answer, I'm having a wee problem with the RNSE not seeing/indexing music files form my SD card, they are SD and not SDHC etc, I have copied files from the pc in MP3 format but the unit isn't seeing them, with one of the albums (2 cd) its reading/seeing 1 of the files but not the other??? I'm sure its me and not the unit!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Will

There is a file/folder limit but mine seems to run out before then so I only get albums towards the top of the alphabet - best bet is to delete a few albums & see if you get more of the one you are looking for - or try & put more tracks into a folder & see what happens. You can certainly get more tracks on a 4GB SD card than the RNS-E seems to cope with.

There's a limit of 512 files PLUS folders, plus every file has to have a path length (folder names plus file name) less than 64 characters.

Any file outside of these limits will not appear.

So it's not as easy as simply dragging the tracks from iTunes on to the SD card?... bum.

Just received 2x 4gb SD cards and there's me thinking it would be simple matter of me choosing my favourite Celine tracks and dragging them over?

I have to say SD file fast forwarding seems to be extremely slow.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes, this is a well documented (and annoying) feature of both the pre-2010 and the 2010+ RNS-E.
