Parking Sensors
Do Audi make the most expensive yet cheapest parking sensors in the world ????
in 2 1/2 years of ownership have already replaced 4 parking sensors, now getting error that another one has gone !!!!!
Where is the best place to obtain from ? or is it just a case of paying Audi prices ?

eBay I got them from, 2 for £33 & I painted them with the halfords paint that matches your car. Came out brilliant & work fine, but make sure you get the fully round ones as there are a lot that are different shapes
Re: Parking Sensors
Yep. First job I did when I bought mine. Three of the four sensors failed. I replaced with oem and paid and a and a leg for them. Surely these cost only a few quid to make. But Audi will sell them for what they do because they can.
Gone and miss very much

ive had 2 fail in 2 1?2 years , its not Audi that make them its Bosch or siemens i cant remember which and from what i have seen they are the same as some Ford ones , in fact apart form the audi number on it i couldnt tell the difference to look at them , but they are about the same price anyhow , i just got replacement ones off Ebay which are prob made in the same factory just rebranded , so far they have been fine at half the price

Re: Parking Sensors
Well my front and rear sensors don't seem to be working. When in reverse the little light on the dash flashes and I get an initial beep.....but then nothing......and the fronts don't do anything??Dec369 wrote:spikeyboy101 wrote:Thanks.

Mine did that at 1st & then started working. How long have you had them fitted ?
Re: Parking Sensors
My car has been doing that for the last couple of weeks firestarter, long initial beep followed by flashing light on the parking sensor button. Checked module 76 Park Assist with VCDS and it show that my front far right sensor (G252) is faulty. If one of the sensors fails completely I think it turns the whole system off to stop you accidentally driving into things when parking.
You should still be able to read data back from the other sensors by parking behind or in front of another car and using the data logging function.
There are after market sensors on ebay for £16.
Fit one next week so be interesting to see how long it lasts!

Hi dude
I haven't fitted anything yet. Just trying to fathom out the cause. Gonna stick VCDS on later and see if it shows any fault codes and if so I guess I need to replace some sensors

Re: Parking Sensors
worth giving them a clean - they are essentially like audio speakers so the central "core" needs to move. if its jammed with dirt and crud then it could register a fault.
