Spotted my first ever white B7 RS4 (saloon) on Friday evening in Belfast. Can't be a very common colour?

I remember a chap 'Insurance Jon' I think his username was who had a limited edition white edition, which was a spectacular looking car with black optics, white seat backs and alcantara wheel/trim. The one I spied on Friday was just a standard saloon though. Looked great

i remember johns white edition aka "the stormtrooper" lovely rare car that, i imagine some strings were pulled to get that to the uk.

Was Jons an estate or saloon?

Certainly a marmite choice of interior colour. Was it a USA option?

The white ones were very rare in the UK. I have a black one.

Excuse the steering wheel, photo was taken pre-cleaning which brought the suede back to life

Is the only difference with the black one an Alcantara sterring wheel trim and grey stitching in the seats? For an extra 6.5k?

The white seats back do look cool though! I assume the interior trim is white too? Hard to tell in those photos, like a bit like the standard alu trim.
Might make a nice interior on a black car. Mmmmmm, gloss white as opposed to Gaz's piano black. Interesting!

a proper black edition would have had piano black trim not carbon and piano black seat backs?.
i thought these were never available in the uk, jon i believe got his through high up contacts in audi germany.

Just noticed, my seats have grey stitching too.

That was what my thoughts were:

Piano black interior trim.
Piano black or Ibis white seat backs, relative to exterior colour.
Black leather bucket seats with jet grey or white stiching
Titainium look alloy wheels and mirrors.
Black or white front grill surround, relative to exterior colour.
Matt black window trims.
Suede steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake handle. Stiching is to match the seats.
Exclusive floor mats with jet grey or white piping

There must have been a UK version of these available in 2007, as the dealer informed me it was a special edition, and I know of 2 other cars with exact same spec. Carbon trim was a cost upgrade IIRC.

I have a 'White Edition' - supplied in Dublin March 2008. Interior trim is white with matching stitching on seats (and steering wheel). Completely agree that it is a marmite colour - personally think that the RS4 can pull it off but I know it took me some time to get used to it. Looks great clean but almost impossible to keep that way...

reevesy dose your car have gloss black seat backs?
carbon trim on a rs4 was a no cost option.
i wouldn't of thought you could have ordered a black edition then specced the carbon trim on top, it kind off defeats the point of a black edition.
a standard car with black optics and the alcantara options ticked would be identical bar the gloss black seat backs for a chunk less?.

Don't forget the sports suspension+ also
