Thanks to the guys at MRC for breathing some fire back into the old girl.

Exhaust fitted next week and then back for a quick map tweek and should have the final figures.

But very happy with where the car is at.

Nice one. What was that with? Carbon clean, stage 2 remap, CAF?

The car now has:-

Revolution Air Induction Kit
Stage 2 manifold
MRC carbon clean
Cold air feed
Pre cats removed
Stage 2 remap

Next week the Tubi and silencers go on and a trip back to MRC for a final once over on the RR and that's this stage done

How does it compare to drive now?

Silas, excellent. In non sport mode the delivery is much smoother than before.

With sport mode selected you really notice the difference in the response. Stretched her legs on an open stretch on my way home. Got to 100 and with the smallest touch of the pedal it has my head hitting the headrest with instant pick up. The noise is completely different as well, the air box/pre cat gut combination to me seems a valid option rather than changing the exhaust for some really nice sounds.

How much was that makeover?

For everything but the Revolution piece just under £3400 with a couple of corroded rad pipes replaced too which were found during the health check.

Gavin, I need to find someone who has run an SC car everyday and done at least 12k a year in it before I can feel confident about taking the final leap.

Yep sure thing - it's a major investment and I would want to be assured also. Although from memory I think a few people on here use their SC cars on a daily basis. I'm sure they'll pop along in a bit.

S4player you'll be glad to know I took your advice and now have a shiny white coolant reservoir.

I guess my biggest concern is I do 12-15,000 miles a year and want to make sure it's driveable on an everyday basis.

Iain (22B) was kind enough to give me feedback on his ownership but admits he hasn't managed to clock up that many miles.

What if any problems did you have and what would you advise doing in addition. I mainly plan to use it just to drive around and a couple of trips to events with quarter mile runs each year.

Well I kicked the absolute <beep> out mines 24/7 and it held up well. The pes kit had teething problems which were resolved quickly. The tts kit is very much more refined and A LOT easier t drive on a daily basis. Power is progressive so easier to feed in, biggest adjustment isn't the power its the clutch so choose wisely. Other than that its just like any other rs4 mpg won't change too much either. Imo if you have the money its a no brainer ! Glad you done the reservoir was the only thing missing
