Spark Plugs

Hi I've booked my car into Glasgow Audi for MOT and Sevice Car is a July 2007 Avant about 23,000 miles its on long life service at present Audi say the spark plugs need changing because the car is now 6 years old is this the case?

I know the plugs should be changed at 60 k..not sure on the 6years,personally I would think it would be a good thing to do anyway..I changed mine at 30 k the car has now done 43k..

60K would, for the average, be around 6 years of driving - sounds like a reasonable box-ticker to me. Try finding your plugs elsewhere for cheaper and asking dealer to fit instead of them adding their markup.

Or do it yourself or get a local garage to do it instead of paying dealer labour rates

Ok guys thanks for your help trying to do the right thing get the car serviced right might think about selling it had it for over 3 years feel a change coming on

Audi quoted me £240 to change the plugs. £15 per plug plus 1 hours labour.
I bought mine from eurocarparts for half the price Audi wanted.

Hi guys MOT all done car serviced new Spark Plugs done I also had a cracked rear spring got that done pick it up on Sat Morning First drive in about 3 months New Tax And Insurance Expensive month but well worth it
