New steering wheel.....

My new steering wheel arrived today, based on a normal multifunction wheel, but with reduced diameter, thicker rim and flat bottom. Buttons from my current wheel fit in and everything works. I then send my current wheel back and he refunds €70. Quality seems pretty good and wheel is very comfortable to hold, what do you guys think?

Looks like the ones from that German company. Been looking at an almost identical one but carbon at the top instead of leather.

It's from this german site. I'd heard about them on other forums but it took me ages to actually find the site. Total cost inc postage was €490, but €70 will be refunded when I return the old wheel. I thought the price was reasonable considering a TTRS wheel is around £900 and will also need wiring mods. This is a straight swap over and I keep all multifunctions. He does many variations, but make sure you get the reduced diameter option which was an extra €80. Diameter is reduced from 370mm (normal multifunction) to 340mm, and width is much fatter like a proper RS4 flat bottom. Will get some pics of it fitted next week. Really looking forward to testing it out properly on my next trackday.....

Looks great.
I'm sure you'd get more than 70 euros on ebay for your old wheel.

Just checked, it is the same company. They make a carbon replacement for the bottom silver bit of the RS4 wheel. I asked them if they'd make the middle silver bit too and they said they would.
This is all the Audi steering wheels thay have for sale on eBay:

I did look at current and old sales of multifunction wheel and it seems you can't give them away! So I think I will send back for €70 euros....

Is it a straight swap over if I don't have the flat bottom steering wheel? I can't remember the specific name of the wheel I have.
Any help would be much appreciated

Yes if you have the normal multifunction wheel, which is what you must have if you haven't got the flat bottom wheel then it's a straight swap and uses the existing airbag.
It's being fitted on Wednesday so ill put some pics and feedback up then......
