Hi all, I have recently purchased a RS4 B7 and i am loving it soo much at the moment it is the best decision i made.

A couple of days ago i noticed the clutch went abit funny and the cruise control stopped working i researched on this forum and i discovered the clutch pedal switch needs to be replaced i have been to dealer and purchased 1 for around £15.

Unfortunately, since the problem i have also noticed when i put my clutch down the revs stay high for afew seconds and then drop very slowly can anyone help?

so when i engage the next gear and release the clutch it gives the car a funny jerk, i wonder if this is connected to the clutch pedal switch?

can anyone help it would be much appreciated. thanks.

It's all part of the same problem - the clutch switch. I had the same problem last year and the revs not dropping and jerky gear change were what i noticed at first as I never use the cruise control. I posted on here and got the correct answer and cheap to fix as well. I got my mate who has his own garage to fit mine but it can be done - there should be a fitting guide on here somewhere if you search for it but be careful not to twist it to activate before you fit as you break it!!
