Your OK, that's the most important thing.

You lucky SOB! Still I'm glad you're still about, looks nasty
No doubt you'll miss the RS, but there's plenty of fun to be had with slower cars. Some gooduns for pennies

Just glad that we're all talking with you rather than about you fella - hope the cuts and bruises mend quickly, albeit your head does look like it's going to be sore for a while. Good to see that the car did its job and protected you when you needed it most.
Errrmmmm.... don't know what to say about that really....

Glad you’re okay too, and the RS 4 did a fine job of protecting you. When I looked at the photo for 2-3 mins I just constantly said the word ‘<beep>..<beep>..<beep>..<beep>…’ in my head over and over. Stay on the forum, and keep us updated on your motoring plans for the year.

Re: Goodbye rs4 crash! Still here :)
wow man. Glad you've walked away from it, that is the main thing.
That is a messy looking rs4. I agree with what everyone else has said, that you think it cannot happen to you. Seems you are very honest with yourself. Which is good, but I wouldn't make that put you away from a RS cars. You will just know for next time. The roads always very slippery this time of the year, that still catches me out some mornings.

Re: Goodbye rs4 crash! Still here :)
Yes the roads are very slippery, I lost the back end of my truck on a roundabout on the way home yesterday at a slow speed.
Dazie, think carefully before deciding about getting a slow car next. If you get a slow car will you drive it slow? I can't so if I'm in a slow car I will still be trying to drive at the same speed so all I am doing is just driving the car beyond its comfortable limits. I'd be much better off in a car capable of steering / braking / gripping at the speeds I drive at then driving at the same speed in a less powerfull car.

JEEZZZZ!!!!!!! Glad you're ok. Not sure if i would fancy your Doctor sewing up my favourite jumper though judging by the stitches lol
As has already been said, it would make sense to get another RS if they protect you like that. Keep us all posted.

Glad to hear you made it out reasonably unscathed. Just shows how they protect you when it is needed the most. I aquaplaned on 1-2" water on a dual carriageway in 2009 and hit a steel lamppost. As soon as I was fit to drive I went searching for another one. Give it some time then consider your options. If you were in a different car the end result may have been different.
Re: Goodbye rs4 crash! Still here :)
So how many RS4s are there left in the UK now. That's 2 destroyed in just one week what with Ricky's that was burnt out in Aberdeen?

Re: Goodbye rs4 crash! Still here :)
Bittersweet - very glad for you that you walked away unscathed apart from maybe your skiddies.....sad that another nice B7 RS4 bites the dust.
One thing that it does confirm however, is that despite what a lot of forum members profess, an RS4 as good as it is, cannot defeat the laws of physics.
Collateral damage only.

Goodbye rs4 crash! Still here :)
Glad you are ok mate, had a serious accident myself that I was lucky to walk away from many years ago. Completely changed my perspective and attitude to spirited driving. There is a time and place for having fun, I adopt a much more measured and conservative approach these days. Great cars to drive especially when you get that engine up in high rev range, but nothing is worth dying or killing for.
