Possible Problem?

Hi :beerchug:

I tooke my Rs4 out today and let the oil warm up to 80 ish and put my foot down a bit from second, it felt almost a bit jolty and the power did not seem there almost like I lost the kick at 5000rpm

I noticed when I let off the pedal I always get a few thuds pops from the exhaust as I have high flow cats and non res, but it seems to be doing it a bit more,
And also when i let off the throttle it seems a bit jerky? this I noticed the most, not too dramactic but I am sure it did not do this before,

I t was fine after and at higher speeds I did not notice anything?

Now I am goingt back to Amd for a carbon clean etc as I only got 366 bhp after a stage 2 remap in November and they suggested for me to do this, I will mention the problem I had as I have nevr had it before, No lights on the dash etc,

Does anyone know what it may be? coil pack breaking down? I

Cheers

366? My first guess would be to check the vacuum system.
One of the things you do when removing the intake manifold is replace te shitty cheap crap one way valve.
This can cause problems.

Checking the vac system is easy and doesn't take any removing of things (apart from the carbon engine cover at the front)

Hi there thanks for the reply,

is this something I could look at myself without causing any problems? It will gove me something to do tomorrow until I can get it booked in to Amd

I take it searching for splits?

The valve you mentioned I think thats the thing they told they would replace and reloacte when I had my de-coke does that sound the sae thing?

I was dissapointed with my 366 but I had a better tourqe increase+ I only had 340 before and a overfueling problem due to last owner putting in the high flow cats and not having the stage 2 to map out something I think it was a cat sensor or something, I thought I would of had more the had only done 55.000 when i got it, which is fairly low?

Vac leak easy.
S'cuse slightly pissed answer

You weed feck need a vac gauge and hand pump.
Remove front carbon engine cover
There is a double t vac line connector
This is the thing you test
Best check search archive for details as am far to inhibited ? To comment now.

does sound like a vac leak.

when AMD did my carbon clean they found a fault with the airbox power flap.

Replaced and moved the airbox Valve so its more accessible and also moved the valve under the manifold.
