iPhone 5 connectivity
Hi all, has anyone tried using the 30pin to lighting adapter cable yet? got a 2007 rnse unit with the iPod dock in the glovebox (replaced cd changer) but unsure if the adapter cable will work.

Re: iPhone 5 connectivity
The iPhone 5 has different pinouts to the earlier versions, so you'll need an adapter (which Apple do sell).

Yeah I've been looking at the adapters, apple want £30 for one, was hoping someone might have tried one first and could tell me if they work or not with the rnse, otherwise it looks like il have to take a £30 bet with apple and let you know what happens

Or... if that fails go the wireless route. I did a write up on it a few months ago in the electrical section. vestax32 has suggested a few improvements (not sure if he posted it in the thread - will check and update when I'm on a real computer). It's been a small musical revolution for me but I know not everyone's keen.

Cheers Stu, I'll have a hunt for the post

Recieved the genuine apple 30pin to lightning adapter today and it works fine with the glovebox iPod dock. Chuffed
