Hi All,
Done a quick search and a bit confused.

Taking my own oil to the Stealer (car under warranty still) to save money.

They advise Castrol SLX is what they would use which does not seem to be available any more - has it been replaced?

Any ideas on compatible oils, pricing, suppliers etc?

Many thanks,
Kevin

Cost £77 all in for 12l of Castrol Edge 5w/30 from Costco ... That's a total bargain. If you can join then do so, you get the cost back in the oil price alone. Set of Axle stands for £15 were another bargain!

Never found Opie to be very good on price. Sometimes Asda do a good deal.

Not sure.... I just assumed that was the price after the 20% discount. £72 would have been even better!

Castrol Edge 5w30 has been 35 notes in my local Asda for more than a year , so every now and again i buy a tub to make the pain a bit less (i was a mechanic for 20 years so never bought oil in my life lol) thats about as cheap as i seen it locally , no costco near me :(

If you take up one of the offers above from Eurospares you can get it delivered, works out about mid £20 before delivery (I don't know how much delivery is though).

thanks this is great feedback - is anyone buying the story from the stealers about the new Edge "Professional" only available through the dealers that minimses carbon buildup (allegedly).....

Oh and its £200 for 9.6L :-)

CostCo have Castrol Edge 5w30 4l for £24 inc tax (20% until Nov 25th). It's usually £24 + tax... obviously. Max buy is 15 4l bottles.
