Most mods can be reversed so no issue there, but at the end of the day its my car and my choice.

Watch the space, theres alot more to come, although at a slower rate :beerchug:

And a massive thanks to everyone for all your input, especially the good stuff
Sorry, but if that's not ruining an icon, I don't know what is... With RS models, less is more; what you're doing with it, screams 'LOOK AT ME!!'

It's funny because there are hundreds of guys that destroy their B7 or B6 TDI's, lowering them to the last, enlarging the arches, the chicken wire job at the front and slap a RS4 badge on the arse, so just why would someone want to make his real RS4 look like a TDI-RS4-wannabee is beyond me..

Mind you I am not against tuning usually, I just never thought of it done to an RS4, specially the B7.. Who's next then? Aston Martin? Porsche?..

We definitly will have to agree to disagree here.

..phew. Glad that's sorted.

I fully agree it's each to their own, and I am also involved in modifying cars.. just not these cars...

So Jules, when will we see some pics of the car bouncing up and down, or driving along on 3 wheels ?

It is of course each to their own but in the grand scheme of things these cars are not 'that' special. And in no way is Jules going to look like a TDi special if his previous work is anything to go by, no 46 foot rear spoiler will end up on this .....I hope this limb I am on is strong.... :D

I think it is great that people do this as people who mod their car do influence future designers and aspects of car styling that the big companies inadvertandly take on to make their standard OEM models look better. I am sure you could grab several current car designers who have followed various car scenes, liked what individuals have done and have been influenced by it. I dont expect we will see the new model RS4 on air of course but without people willing to break the mould the car scene would be an unbelievably dull place and this goes for high end models too. I know I generally prefer the OEM look with the business under the hood but at the same time I think some mods look epic and credit should be given where its been done well and the piss taken where it hasnt! (All in good humour of course :bigblink:). Why do Audi offer a black optics pack or exclusive interiors? Its just modding from the factory.

To think of it as sacrilege to mod an RS4 is for me going way overboard.....if it was a classic Ferrari Daytona being modded I might be slightly against that!

Just my 2p

Well done Jules. Although modding to me means under the bonnet stuff, I love what you're doing because you're doing it well - its not my taste but I can appreciate it for what it is. A bit like tastes in music, there are certain styles I don't choose to listen to but I can still appreciate them if it is good music performed by talented musicians.

Thank you both very much,i have been modding vag cars for years and absolutely love them.
I do really try and think what can be done to improve/alter the look in a good way imo.
i am consious to try not to make it look chavy or max power, which some will think, you cant go over the top
with these cars because they look so amazing from new.

As i have said before so much can be reversed when i sell it,like i did with the b5 rs4.

Apart from the interior all other mods will be discreet subtle mods that really finish it off imo.
And some of these can be alot of work or have big costs to for a small effect but over all makes the difference
from a average to well modded car .

Last night i removed the interior triangles on the inside of the mirror cases,I am going to get them carbon skinned to match the rest
of the interior, very subtle but a nice touch that most people wont even notice.

Anyway thanks you all for the input

Do I like it? As I said, not my cup of tea. I appreciate the fine work gone into making it a proper job rather than a quick n dirty conversion but I'll keep my car as it is.

The important thing is that at the end of the day it's nothing more than a car and importantly this is jules' car.
We buy these cars not to be frugal or even to go from a to b but more so on how they make us feel when looking and driving them. If Jules' feels better with his car like that then I'm all for it and certainly don't think it's any kind of blasphemy to some mystical car style god.

However if he puts underfloor neons on then yes I'm all for burning him as a witch ;)

Well done, there at least £800 from a dealer. Well worth paying £250 for.
