Tis a tad concerning that it only appears to be in the last few weeks we've had a load of DRC problems & yet none i can recall before then.
May be a good time to take stock of detail to pass across to Audi, as Phil did with the RS6 failures.

.....I think it would be a waste of time as I believe Phil gave up with Audi as he admits on the RS6 thread (I followed the dialogue closely and eventually sold my own RS6 because of this problem).W8PMC wrote:Tis a tad concerning that it only appears to be in the last few weeks we've had a load of DRC problems & yet none i can recall before then.

My car is going in to Watford Audi for two new front shocks under warranty. Both are leaking, one slightly more than the other. I was getting a knock on rebound from the nearside front shock.
I insisted that they take into account "my" concerns about DRC and told them to read the thread on this forum, which they did. They freely hold their hands up about the lack of pressurisation tools in the UK but insist that their workaround is perfectly adequate. Basically they order pre-pressurised units from VAG in Germany and bleed the relevant corner before applying. It was explained to me that because the diaphragm on each corner completely seals the unit from the opposing shock and fluid line, there is no chance of air getting through which allegedly leads to damage of the opposite unit.
They claimed that anyone still suffering issues following a replacement conducted in this manner have "had bad experiences with their dealership"; which to me is a diplomatic way of saying "they screwed it up, so take it back". Keep in mind that many senior techs at Audi dealerships throughout the UK know each other very well, so they're not going to say anything that discredits a friend's work without solid proof. I can understand that.
I also phoned Audi customer services who are neither use nor ornament. They did contact Watford after my query was placed, but everybody at the dealership was (seemingly) very friendly and accommodating before this. This is, of course, exactly how it should be, but it's worth mentioning nonetheless.
And that's about all I can do. Spent enough time placing calls and reading up on everything, so I'm just hoping that everything gets sorted and the problem doesn't repeat itself. Already had two new clutches on the car under warranty within 5000 miles so my general confidence in the vehicle isn't particularly high. Initially intended to keep the car for five years with extended warranty but already starting to question that logic with barely a year of ownership under my belt...

Got my car back yesterday having had both front dampers and 2 rear suspension valves fitted. The master tech said the dampers were the latest updated version and that there are no reported probs with these.
Fingers crossed all seems well , no knocking on rebound.
Front tyres still graunch/skid across road surface during slow right hand turns but I guess I'll live with it
