In short ....no!pippyrips wrote:So just to be straight on this, disabling the valves has no adverse effect on the car?
I am the world's biggest scaredy-cat when it comes to doing work on my own car and doing "mods" and even I went for this one. It really is worth it...it seems as though the car was on some sort of leash and has now been set loose.
Many thanks to all for the pictures...especially audijohn and Chris

Interesting thread this - seems like a "no brainer" (and free) mod to me.
Any comments from the tuners on this one?

That's a good way of doing it.
I separated the black tube from the inlet and plugged the respective holes with wood screws. Then I just cable tied the 2 together to avoid the black pipe flapping around. I left the metal clip at the end of the black pipe intact.

If you do it that way around, it looks like you can just push the black hose back over the white fitting with the wood screw in it, and then the vaccuum is blocked and there are no exposed ends and nothing flapping around.Ozrs4 wrote:Hi guys, This is how I did mine...effortless and truly worthwhile. Plus it would be completely undetectable if someone were to have a peak under there

Hmm, I did think of that but couldn't find any double ended screw that has different diameter to fit both end. The gold screw I have in the white adaptor is smaller than the black tube and it doesn't fit tight. I guess anyone trying this method just trial and error until you can find something that will fit both ends and holding it together like you say and yes it would definitely be a "nice and stealth" method.
The black tube is quite rigid and it doesn't flap around. I guess I can get down again and cable tie the two ends together.
I did try but it's loose and the black tube would just come off. May be if I can try finding another gold (or steel) with a bigger head that fit the hole of the black tube. I still like the "threading" in to seal the opening. I would hate to think it comes loose without knowing and all the dust will get into the valve attentuator.jackwood wrote:Will the black pipe not just push over the screw head onto the white bit? It looks like it should.
