Seems we might not even get an Avant here.
I guess I'll just "have to live" with a saloon. :D

I know most Americans look at them as 'grocery getters', but I personally LOVE the avants.

Let the waiting begin...

Kurt,
Are you serious man? You would take an avant over a saloon. The station wagon over the sports car! OUCH! Audi should definitly bring the Saloon in first. It is more of a suited car for America. No mom wants to drive the RS4! She could go out and buy a regular A6 station wagon. Come on, get a Saloon with me! Don't get a Avant! Your choice.

It seems claiming a saloon is a sports car is a contradiction in terms.
And exactly why a saloon would be any better than an avant is beyond me.
They are both lardy, have the same runnnig gear, and both have a very similar weight bias.
Come on, get a Saloon with me! Don't get a Avant! Your choice.
Your choice :jump:

Superb.

Haha. Name is Chase btw. And to tell you, the Saloon is so much better due to the fact that it is not a station wagon. HAHA!

Chase,

do you think there is any danger of you filling in your profile ? Pretty please ??

Also, the introduction post I asked for would be most welcome.
Otherwise you will most likely find people no longer respond to your postings.

As a suggestion how about:
- real name
- roughly where you live (United states is a big place - east, west, or what ?)
- roughly how old (I get the feeling your not likely to be suffering a mid life crisis any time soon)
- what you currently drive, or have owned
- whether your connected to the motor trade and so have an interest

Its not much to ask.
Hell, at the rate your adding messages it should take you all of a couple of minutes.

You are exactly correct in your thinking, but that's why the Avant is much better.
If you come up against an Avant at the traffic light grand prix, you expect either an old man (no offence anyone  ) or a Mum taking their kids to school, not a car that scares off almost anything on the road.

I love my S4 saloon.
I look of the new RS4 Saloon really has grown on me.

I think the balance of the Avant is slightly better though.
Have you driven an S4 Saloon AND Avant ?

Why I didn't get an Avant is just like Why I didn't get a manual.
Stupid reasons really. Not stupid, my wife was the reason.
She wanted to be able to drive it, hence Tiptronic.
She thought since we had a Toureg as well, why get the wagon.

Well, this time it's Manual, even if Tip/DSG was offered.
If the Avant was offered it would probably be Avant as well.

maybe They'll have an Avant in Barcelona when I drive the RS4 at Cataluyna. just maybe....

I'd love to smoke some 'ricer' in a Grocery Getter here in LA. That's funny....

Nice Kurt! I can see why that would be cool to do, but definitly get the Saloon this time and then you can tell me how much more you like having it. I just bought my friends 2002 S4 B5. Excellent car. Anyways, I hope you do well purchasing the RS4. Good Luck!
