That's not a day you will forget in a hurry! Congrats on the new motor, they really are awesome cars. I genuinely still get a thrill from driving it everyday and I have had it for almost 3 years now!

WEY HEY......B.A up and buzzing....Crazy Fool

Been sorting out all the documentation as it was all there but in a mucking fuddle so I have spent an hour putting in all in date order and placing the various documents in nice plastic sleeves which then go in a nice new box folder. Had 2 pieces of documentation missing from Macclesfield Audi, but called them just now and gave the invoice numbers to them. The Service guy (fecking bloke again - Chad!!) was very helpful and is e mailing me the missing paper work

OK I have a few questions that I need some help with and am sure there will be more

1, When unlocking the car with the remote key only the drivers door opens. Im aware that the rear doors are locked and can be altered to open using VCDS but is this normal for the passengers door not to open?
2, I have 2 keys but only one working. The 2nd key looks like its never been used so reckon the battery is dead. Is this just a case of replacing the battery and no reprogramming required and if so how da feck does the key open apart
That's it for now.....cant stand being indoors so going out to start the initial high level clean up!!!

More to follow and chaps I cant thank you all enough for your posts and help. I went to bed last night belly laughing at some of the posts in this thread.....Excellent candour from you all

You need to tap it twice in quick succession to unlock all doors.Firestarter wrote:scaghead wrote:B A you not up yet? Glad you got back safe and sound..

Plip the open button on the remote twice - first does drivers door, second does all othersFirestarter wrote: 1, When unlocking the car with the remote key only the drivers door opens. Re: The Adventure with Mr T begins
1) You can change the coding using VCDS to deactivate the selective unlocking so all doors unlock together.
2) possibly just needing resync'd, try this first, as its the easiest option.
With the key in the drivers door press and hold the unlock button while turning to unlock, then press and hold the lock button while turning to lock

Congrats!!
It's a great day out collecting a new car.
I remember a day on the train to London from the north East to collect my RS6.
The longest and most draining day of my life!!
I hadn't even seen the car!!!....but all was well....test drive, debit card transfers, finance paperwork...then driving it home!!
I was knackered when I got home!!
Good luck with the RS4...I loved mine but I just had to have 600 odd BHP and a V10 in my life.

When I saw the reference to closing the electric garage door I had visions of the Specsavers telly ad with the kid and his remote-controlled toy truckFirestarter wrote:Haha....nah nothing to do with Tyres......it has 4, they are round and sticky!!! my son is now crashed on the sofa next to me so feel free to come over and do the deedRick_RS4 wrote:if you ask about tyres im going to personally come over to your house and dry bum you on your new car infront of your sonFirestarter wrote: I have several questions that I am sure will be answered by you top boys.

Im falling asleep typing but been reading all the posts (fcuk me didn't think I would cause such a stir) has kept me going. Loving the Smart 4-2....I just sold one of those as well!!!. Mike I did have me charger and laptop was charged, but I just got so embroiled in the great 220 mile drive home. Epic and my jaw is still hurting from grinning so much. I've bonded with Mr T and as I put him in the garage and the electric garage door was closing I am sure I heard a noise from the car sounding like...QUIT YOUR JIBBA JABBA![]()
