OK Andy,

Here is my wheel hp graph, not too dissimilar to yours really in terms of graph lineage, just different figures which as discussed before are partially down to which road etc etc etc. BTW, the figures quoted pof 414.3 hp and 322 ft/lbs at the side were calculated using 31% transmission losses which is what WRC had averaged on their r/r previously. That was done end of 2007 with old version software with approx 20k on the clock.

Maybe a less pronounced mid-range kick, coming in a bit later?

I would agree, that mid range 'kick' usually comes in around 5600-5750rpm on my car when I'm on the road but it is there. But otherwise a pretty close resemblence, just lower values. Which as discussed is mor likely down to the r/r used than the car as demonstrated by ArthurPE's posts.

I'm not getting too hung up on it, I've rolled with other RS4's on the road and factoring human application (lardiness, timing of putting foot down on the gas and gearchanging) there is little to nothing it it in 3rd or 4th from a rolling start at 50. If Golf GTi's were getting away from me I'd be worried and given they are the fastest cars in the world, but they aren't so I'm not.

I had a good discussion with an importer of RR ... upshot and you are going to have to trust me on this ... the at wheels and at fly wheel numbers are pretty accurate ... these guy know all about the RS4(extensively). I am not being rude and not going to go into a 1,000 word discussion, Arthur is missing a lot of understanding .....

Based on the many RS4's that have been dynoed, your car is down on power and the same applies to Nick's ... typically most show 380hp with a few higher.

Again, many many reason why a car my not be up to spec .. age of petrol etc etc etc ..

When Jim obtains the plots ... I might see if we can get them looked at ...

MAYBE host a conference call .....with a dyno expert .. now that would be fun ... hope I can mute when required ! :) LOL

What, you have lost 0.3 bhp, get a refund!

Andy, I don't doubt the r/r importer, however they have no say on how their product is thereafter used. I covered my conerns over Paramount's set up before and they are the same now. WRC where I had my car dynoed originally had said they had seen RS4 produce anywhere between 350 and 380bhp dependent on some the factors you quote and they had dynoed 8 RS4's separately by the time I had turned up, one of the reasons I used them.

I'm not that fused to be honest, it is plenty quick as it is, will be moreso soon.

I am going to stick my neck out here .... to get near 407 on a dyno .. the car must be de-catted ... that is a fact.

If AMD Essex's dyno shows that number with just a map AND how the car performed at Paramount, THEN AMD's Dyno needs checking.

Scaghead, can you post a 0-100mph time ?
