Which makes me wibble a bit it has to be said. NEIL, the key problem with the later revision Dectane units for the C5 were that the LED indicator clusters they fitted in were very directional, as in you had to be not far off dead behind the car to really them. Is there any chance that you can flick your hazards on, nerd it up like a champ and take a quick iSheep video or summat?

The thought of forking out for a 3rd set of rear lights, only to find the same old Dectane indicator issues, then taking a bath again selling them on again, doesn't sit right funnily enough :D. Thanks.
I'll put something on boobtube of mine tomorrow no worries...

Back to the seat discussion, I tried a few with buckets but felt at home with the comforts when I tried one. 5 yrs in a B6 S4 maybe swayed me but they are a great place to park an arse. Buckets seem to wear far worse and are no way more comfortable, I have the white inserts which look the nuts but give you a sense of paranoia when the kids enter. I still think the full leather in the S4 will last longer and is still like brand new after 11 year. (Boo hoo it's going tomorrow, but a V8. Runabout is not practical really).

Aren't the c5 seats the same as the 8L S3, I have one as well and they are certainly not as good. Manual runners, electric everything else.

They certainly are the same design as the C5 visually to but they feel smaller to me.

I couldn't resist the urge to go for a spin last night as I hadn't had a chance to really spank the car as I had only given it a brief test drive after madam, then pootled 2 miles in to work yesterday and back again.

Again, it is a very nice experience to drive but it is just so odd going back to NA power delivery. from a rolling start of 20 to about 130 I am pretty confident that the S3 would beat it which I wasn't expecting, it could just be the power delivery fooling me. Anyway, still lovely to drive, bar the seats. It isn't because I am fat, I was double checking where it was pressing in and all the seat hit is a bit of muscle and bone.

Will have a serious think as based on me not supposed to driving the car and the seats fitting madam (other than clunge punching herself on the side of the seat on Monday morning, hilarious to watch), I may just nut up and live with it)

This:

They are quicker than they feel. I drove mine back to back with a mate's healthy B7 and while there was almost nothing in it the RS6 felt much quicker because of the power delivery.

/edit: I did a comparison review on this forum a year or so ago.

Shopping, honestly there is no comparison between our two as we did a few runs and the 6 pulled away effortlessly, madam was not happy. Looking forward to getting back in the car as I currently have two holes in my hip and the seats are going to dig in beautifully going back to the office lol.

Yeah, but your RS4 could be putting out 370hp. And your 6 is putting out a lot more than standard. When I compared mine to the RS4 mine was standard and the RS4 had been dyno'd at almost 400hp. My other mate's RS4 dyno'd 369hp recently.

Vee shall see, as it was only decoked in 12/2012 at AmD (cough), has done 10k miles since. I have already had a quick chat with MRC and am getting more and more twitchy to do mods. Just waiting to pull the trigger on the rear lights once Neil kindly puts up a boobtube of his with the indicators going :)

The Eagles as good on this car as the others, as expected. Was on cruise control back from the hospital today in patches of standing water at 100 or so leptons without a care in the world. Now to sell the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta that came with her.

In the meantime, you can check the flap function with the vagisil.

Boobtube is begging me to shoot my one's and zero's to it - it's hacking it down here and I spent monday giving it the spam up of it's life - can't bring my self to wheel it out of it's cozy shed (and a rubbish client is making me jump through hoops) so I'm side tracked - feck gimme a bit and I'll load...

Two vids - one with reverse on and off.

Panning around to the side, NICK, they do indeed diminish in visibility... the housing that the LED sits in is very directional as you say. It's not overly on my radar to be honest, but if you've had issues in the past with these before, I get your point. At night it could be a different thing. Visually, I think they add rather than detract over the OEM bulb versions.

Your call old chap...

Right you big poof -

1. Weather is plop
2. Car is standard and boring
3. Car has no tints
4. Car is standard and boring
5. No idea where my mobile is, haven't seen it in days and don't really care so no snapping with that
6. Car is standard and boring
7. Camera isn't charged and I don't really care about that either
8. I tried to take a couple of shots yesterday late afternoon with friends iSheep just for you and I might as well have been taking a picture of the inside of my anus, the pictures were that bad
9. Oh, did I say there was nothing special to see?

Neil, that is brilliant thanks. Due to the fact that I believe the lenses curve around more on the RS4 loon Dectanes compared to their C5 ones, especially the indicator section, your videos appear to show that the angle of half-decent viewing is a fair bit better. However, the Dectane smoke was quite dark on the C5 clusters so that may well be a factor too on these. Sod it, ordering anyway!
