Good point!
You had too much dead weight, that's why you got spanked. The B7 is weight sensitive...

Here's a another facet. Which car do you think will age better?
Let's assume both cars are owned by the same person, both driven to 100k miles and serviced by the book at Camberley.
The end test? Both cars line up for a best of three timed drag.
Sport mode, same driver (assumed B7 hardened) revs loaded to 3,500 - 4000k, ESP off - 1/4 mile.

Results...
the C5 all day long

my 100k plus put down stock 480ps on the rollers

the C5 is an immennse beast, and for all its pitfalls i do still love it for what it is ...

Interesting. I'll have the chance to pit my standard 6 against 2 stock 4's next week. I'll be interested to see what happens.

Don't underestimate the 6 in the twisty stuff either. It might not handle as well as the 4, but it's still surprisingly agile.
I also think the 6 will resist the miles better, too. Oops, almost said the C word ;)

A while back I had a C5 RS6 for several days as a loan car, and yes it's rapid but TBH it's up there with the Ferrari Testrossa as candidate for the Fastest Truck in the World - yes I have driven a Testarossa.
