There seems to be something in the industry that suggests remapped cars are more likely to be in accidents but TBH it is all bollocks and the biggest fleecing scam going.

The insurance industry needs a shake up from the oligopoly it is.

However, what if someone buys a car that, unknown to the buyer, had previously been remapped. I haven't checked but surely your insurance contract can ask you to give statements to the best of your knowledge?

I doubt if an insurance company would know how to find out if its been mapped anyway.....but maybe they would get the ecu investigated if the accident happened at high speed?

Audi could maybe see the maps been changed, but surely you had it done for better mpg and not power anyway;-))

Just got back from MRC where they have worked some more magic on my car, now up to 464.7, 513Nm from 442.2, 479Nm.
The increase in low down torque is very noticeable. Doug said it's the most powerful one he's done so far. To say I'm happy is an understatement.
