E36 M3s (stripped) are a handful on the track when driven right (iv been done a few times lol). its all about the driver half the time. ;)
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Everyone wants to fight with everyone else (or anyone new or different).
isn't that a piece of unfortunate human nature that trolls exploit?

good call...

he got what he was looking for, but from all the numbers I and others have posted
Ring
straightline test
etc.

it's obvious the e36 is not as fast...
but it's still a great car but a 1992 design vs 2006 or so...

I see your stats but to me it's not obvious when looking at power to weight ratio :?

fast laps
compare
RS4 B7 vs e36 M3 (321 HP not the 286 version)
http://www.fastestlaps.com/comparisons/ ... 629d1.html

The verdict
Audi RS4 (B7) is noticeably faster.

that is only one factor
generally valid for cars of the same generation & technology

electronics & engine control systems have made huge advances
although 2 engines may make similar power, they may not respond to throttle the same: interia, response of fueling/timing, airflow changes, etc.
ie, the engine accelerates faster, and therefore the car...

that's why times are best, same track, same driver...
takes almost all variables out of the system/equation

Not sure what you drive golfather but ive NEVER been done over in my b7,addmitedly its had the full mrc treatment,a very well sorted b5 would give me concern in a straight line only, pull off a motorway and onto some real roads i would have a pretty smug smirk on my face as the b7 will toast things it shouldnt with ease, bhp talk is for barstool chit chat along with 0-60 times any muppet can create/drive such a car,but what really makes a car is its ability to use all its performance all of the time

I suspect that was a joke Lengster.
There's no need to stick up for the RS4 as it speaks for itself, I mean why else would the criminals have it on the top of their list and every policeman I speak to says they don't bother chasing them, it has to be chopper.
How to catch a stolen RS4? OF COURSE, GET E36 M3 POLICE CARS!!
