New black wheels you say, are these the same as the anthracite ones people keep mentioning. Be interested to see when you've done. Also has any one seen an Avus saloon with black optics. Wonder what it would look like especially with black wheels.

Alex, they're not the OEM RS4 titanium ones. HRE Monoblock P40, one of few wheels that I have seen that look as good as or better than stock. Wanted something a bit different after seeing so many other VAG cars (at least up here anyway) now running the double-spoke design. :D

Black with black optics also...I could live with the front grill surround in chrome but I really hate the chrome around the windows, I hate chrome around the windows on any car, what is it with the 'we all love retro so lets put chrome round the windows' rubbish, its awful. Keep seeing a supercharged jag zipping about that looks very nice in black, but again spoilt by chrome round the windows. I will have a car with chrome round the windows once I hit 85 but not before.

Well I meant the silver colouring whatever it is. I dont understand this current obsession with chrome/matt aluminium inside the latest audis either, sat in an S5 the other day & an A6, the new instrument surrounds etc just look sooo plastic in fake aluminium, reminds me of what I didnt like in the 5/3 series Bmws's, swaths of fake aluminium..yuk

All well & good, but how do you feel about chrome around the windows?

I had a black one, infact the car OliF-H now owns and now have Mugello blue. I love both with or without optics. Have to say very pleased with the Mugello blue as my RS6 was in that colour and so far not seen many RS4's in that colour. Any one else got a mugello one on here??? do think daytona Grey with black optics looks the nuts though....

I know Diggler drives a Mugello Avant, very reminiscent of the old Ming Blue I had on my S3, loved that colour.

I went for ablack saloon with chrome and silver level. When I had to choose a replacement after an accident (not my fault!). I went for an identical spec and would again

When it's clean, Mugello Blue looks the business. Two grey cars locally, one with optics pack, the other with the same silver trim as mine. All in all, the RS4 is special, irrespective of colour IMO ! :jump_clap:
