I've just arranged one myself - very little effort involved and well worth the discounts.

Nice looking, very clean car. Would have looked better with it's normal plates just blanked if you want to hide your identity. IMO
Agreed. Can alex 123 fra offer an explanation :?:
Guys, as said already, my intention was NEVER to advertise. Had I known that including the company's website and the cover plates they put on would cause such a row, I would never have done it.

My other issue was with Simple1's accusatory gung-ho moderating which in my book was utterly inappropriate. I think everyone who knows me on this site will vouch for the fact that I DO NOT advertise anything. I just use this site to improve my ownership experience while helping others if I can.

Chris, yes there was machine polishing involved...several hours worth :D

Thank you again eveyone for all your comments :)

It is very obvious then, dont overstep the mark and place links to business not supported by the site unless you ask the crew first which is where we started.
If you dont like the playground, go play elsewhere, I am not going to sit by and watch my and others hardwork and investment be erroded, and let others feed from our hard work. It seems that you feel we have a duty to supply you the way you want, where infact we supply you with the facility of the forum which is not nor ever has been open to abuse from traders plying thier wares without being challenged. If the forum could be self moderating, we would let it be, but recent posts have proved this is not the case so we have to step in. Whether you like it or not, that is the way it has to be. There have been several posts metioning double standards, I think if you can be bothered to read back through the DMS <beep>, you wont see any links to thier site posted by me, nor to any other company or site that is not directly connected to this forum by sponsorship.
If you want the site to continue, we need revenue to support it other than from our personal pockets which has been the case of late, and that needs to come from businesses not the forum users. I am sorry you feel so hard done by, maybe if you take stock for a minute, you might feel the same if others were taking cash straight from your pocket. As a moderator, I have to balance what people want to see/read and the welfare of the site, if you dont like the way I do that, that is entirely different kettle of fish, but in the real world, you have to deal with it. Not exactly storming in, just doing my job.
Just as PS, not quite sure why you invited me to remove the link then kicked up a fuss for doing it, while leaving all the photos in place with the website address on it. Maybe the entire thread should have been deleted......

Hmmm, wish I'd known about this attitude a few months ago, I'd have saved some money on RS246 stickers. They're coming off the car, until the attitude on display here ceases to stink.

Wheres the problem, So what if the plates show where he had it done. YOu don't have to support that company. Bigger more interesting things to discuss about this awesome car. :!: :!: :!:

Here here. I haven't been on all weekend and this is still an issue when I log on? The guy made a mistake and has stated his intentions. Move on.
