Still nothing back from my dealer, it's a bloody joke at this stage.
Parts are on back order is all I'm getting.

Think I'll have to escalate to Audi Ireland and see if they can help or have them issue me something stating that the car is safe to drive, might spur them along.

I wasn't overly bothered, but came within inches of a crash recently where there was a pile-up straight ahead of me and it's been playing on my mind since.

I know what you mean...
Waiting till 20th August for mine and will definitely be in touch with them beforehand to make sure they've got the parts...
Saw an RS4 (Aussie I think) on collecting cars the other day. Description mentioned they'd had the recall done in 2021!
It's affecting the majority of marques unfortunately.
Since 2018 worldwide I believe....

I got mine done the other day at Tonbridge Audi (Tunbridge Wells).

I had to wait a couple of weeks or so because they needed to order the parts.

It went fairly smoothly with it being done within 4hrs of dropping it off (better than the two says Caffyns in Eastbourne wanted).

Only slight gripe was the despicable attempts at upsetting.

A couple of days before it was due I had a 'courtesy' to check I was still going. During this I was informed that according to their records I was overdue a brake fluid change & an air filter! I asked how they determined that as it hasn't been near the Audi dealer network for at least 10yrs & I was told because of it's age & estimated mileage. I queried why they didn't think it was overdue any other filters or an oil change but I was told because it wasn't booked in for a service! It made no sense & I didn't push it but kindly declined their offer.

Anyway, once the work was done, I was sent a short video via a text link where the technician measured the tread depth of the tyres which have been on it for about a month & he pointed out a very small amount of rust on a rear disc. He said in the video not to worry but to keep an eye on it as the pad might be sticking in the carrier.

This was accompanied by a quote for an urgent brake fluid change which was apparently overdue? For £85 and a quote to "fix" the rear brake of......£2,314.51!!!! There was no break down of the costs for this & when I asked the chap at reception all he could tell me was it was for brakes!

On looking at the more detailed quote I got on the paperwork, it seems the quote was for 2 x discs, 2 x sets of pads a new caliper and a few bolts. (There were no descriptions just part numbers).

Needless to say Audi won't be doing that & I have my self stripped the brakes on that side to clean, grease & re-assemble.

It's embarrassing that Audi do this regardless & it seems criminal they can get away with quoting for unnecessary work.

I think shameful is a better word than embarrassing.

I dropped my RS4 at Bristol Audi at 10:30am on Monday. They replaced the airbag, did the whole video inspection thing, and washed the outside/vacuumed the inside. The car was ready for pickup at 3:30pm the same day. And as a bonus they didn't even try to sell me anything!

Ipswich Audi were brilliant. In and out in 90 minutes. Air bag done whilst I waited.

Mines booked in for this Friday. They called me last week to say I qualify for a mobile appointment so as things stand they’re coming to me and doing on my drive…..!

Let’s see. Reading Audi.

Will also get them to check the brakes as the warning lights been on for a month but they all look great to me, bit strange?

That sounds handy!

Got mine done eventually, no issues, took them a couple of hours. Just shocking how long it took them to organise the parts to do it.

Done and dusted on my drive, only took about 30 mins, didn't even want a cup of tea! He said he'd personally done about 170 cars so far, and there's something like 200k cars in scope going back to 2003, costing £1k a go!

Other than that:-
- Advised the tyres are coming due for replacement (already got a set of Bridgestone Potenza Sports booked in for next week - they won Evo's 19" tyre of the year award)
- Suggested that my intermittent starting issue is likely because the relays have become scorched over time. Advised replacing these - Audi charge £249 fitted.

Had mine done a couple of weeks ago.
Dropped it off first thing and got a call late afternoon to say it was done so picked it up the following morning.
Had a courtesy car FOC so all good.
Pleasantly surprised it went smoothly TBH :)

Hi
Has anyone had audi tell them that if the car has been mapped they can not carry out the airbag recall on the car. As just spoke to audi and was told if the car has been mapped they cannot carry out the work.
Thanks

They didn't even ask. That sounds like crap to me.

That is hilarious. What has that got to do with replacing an airbag

And Audi wonder why 99% of people would rather choose an independent specialist every time.

FWIW my B7 is quite heavily modified, MRC Stage 2, KW Coilovers, full exhaust, bigger brakes, the list goes on and they had no issue doing the Airbag.

Each Audi dealership seems to differ greatly both with general service and responses regarding this topic, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply mate. I was thinking the same thing as many of the members on here have had their's done. The only thing I've had done is the cold air feed @ mrc when the drivers aux radiator packed up. The car is otherwise completely standard. Might have to try another dealer. I'll update once I speak to them in the morning.
