Its cool and thanks.marc1 wrote:I must have misunderstood about the engine then. Please F you're using the better one then.iconic78 wrote:??? who said anything about using an S4 engine??? This started life as an RS4 complete with all the RS4 running gear. Its now benefiting from a JHM supercharger and chargecooler, smaller pulley(stage 1.5 kit), JHM 2.75"exhaust with no cats single rear box, flap delete, Limited Slip Diff, quick shift....the list goes on(i bought everything JHM sells for the B7 RS4 basically).marc1 wrote:I'm still confused by this one, lol but hey ho. I get the wanting to be different and that's cool. The B6 is definately not as pretty as the B7, but hey everyone is different. Why would you use a S4 lump over the better, lighter, more powerful and higher revving RS4 engine though?
There's been quite a few ab6 wide bodies in the states too. One of whichever with a B5 V6 TT engine.
Granted the B7 is more aggressive but its common. Yes, there are a few widebody B6's but they are all trying to mimic the RS4 arches and body shape. Im just combining the best of both worlds.

Would love to but with this project and my other build- a 1800 BHP TT Gallardo - my bank manager says no!marc1 wrote:Buy the B5. Great cars! Miss mine dearly!iconic78 wrote:Jules wrote:My B5 so I know all about marmite lol
And my old supercharged b7
very nice and clean. Bagged on air ride or Airrex?
Theres a B5 RS4 avant with RS6 turbos etc sitting here all neglected and ive been offered it for peanuts but im committed to this and my other build.
Re: My B6 Supercharged Stage 1.5 RS4 build thread...
The B6 and B7 chassis are the same just the panels are different. So everything bolts on bar the rear panels that need to be welded on, from the back doors to the front is all bolt on.[/quote]
The biggest difference is the swage/body line; on the B7 its higher up so to keep the wide arches we've had to blend the rear quarters and front wings. Also change both sets of doors-The b6 doors were modified to match the B7 doors rather than cut and shut the 2 doors together.
But yes, as you've said the vast majority is bolt on.

Cars are running airlift performance bags with accuair self levelling suspension and uprated arbs.
Drive low,park lower
Re: My B6 Supercharged Stage 1.5 RS4 build thread...
Ive seen some of your posts and can say you do good work. Like the yanks, the Avant RS4 was never released here and it kinda makes me want one. Not the biggest fan of accuair mgmt systems. Running Bilsteins for now although thinking of changing to Airrex as my mate is the Middle Eastern Disty for them so extremely good mates rates. lolJules wrote:I love B5's and still have 2 more including a stripped rs4 I am about to rebuild.iconic78 wrote:Jules wrote:My B5 so I know all about marmite lol

First coats of paint on the body.
Re: My B6 Supercharged Stage 1.5 RS4 build thread...
Hats of to you mate. Looks like they'll both be finished in next to no time, at this rate.
Re: My B6 Supercharged Stage 1.5 RS4 build thread...
Thanks although the Lambo is waiting on the built engine from the states. The Audi is on schedule; engine will be back in and running before the end of the week. All being well subject to parts coming on time from Germany and the US, car should be completed by the end of next week.
