Does the gear make that much difference? My dyno was done in 4th gear but I notice the fellas who went to the organized RR day were in 3rd gear

Was hoping to get some figures for what a milltek/de cat etc offers performance wise, which cars had them and what type?

between 3 and 4? probably not...

the lower the gear (numerically), ie, higher ratio, the more losses and the more torque put down, so a higher gear should have a bit less loss, and load the dyno up less...

the dyno measures wheel torque...
say 1500 lb-ft
it's divided by the overall gear ratio, say 1.6 x 4.11 = 6.58 (made up ratios for reference)
so axle torque is 1500/6.58 ~ 228 lb-ft, ignoring losses
to get back to engine (crank) which is how mfgs rate the engine, you must add in losses for tires, CV joints, diff, driveshaft, tranny, etc.

Pippyrips and rAudiguy were both running Milltek De-Cats - only difference was downpipes (Pippyrips Milltek & rAudiguy custom) and re-maps

It might be my keen eyesight, but I think your plate is just readable in the last shot

Got my car back from Audi York, the usual chimp like service I've come to expect from Audi (sorry but its true - they simply have no idea)

Anyway, 60k service done at 39k - car feels different, more responsive. A few faults diagnosed but done nothing with as yet.

A low torque warning fault 3 times - they are looking in to this

I require 2 new engine mounts.

Other than that, nothing else mentioned. I have asked for learn values next time its in.

They also didnt mention the remap, suggesting they haven't looked at the ECU at all....

I will be going to an RR and getting some data next week of what the car is doing...
