By way of an update, I have one potential interested paarty and a p/x offer but open to other inerest at this stage to achieve a sale by the end of the month. I can't have the beast sitting outside too much longer beyond the end of the month looking at me through the window all that time or I'll change my mind and keep it!

Also have spare bits and some of the modifications on it up for sale as I suspect these won't go with the car either way;

UPDATE: At the 11th hour before the car went back to standard a forum member got in touch stating their interest in the RS4 and after meeting them today and them paying a Deposit, the car is now sold subject to exchange.

If this changes I'll let other interested buyers know but in the meantime thanks for all the interest the car has ultimately had. I've no doubt that when the exchange is done the new owner will be on here to introduce themselves. The GruppeM, CAI, DTM splitter, spacers, AAS exhausts and front discs have stayed with the car so unfortunately they are also no longer for sale.

Glad that it's stayed in one piece (and I'm sure you'll still be around!)

Thanks for all the comments. I almost feel guilty for selling it, especially when I am looking at it out the window now. Just resisting temptation to drive it now to keep the miles off for the new owner so it is as near to what the mileage is when he agreed to buy it.

Have wrangled with what to replace it with but have eventually put pen to paper on this...

Lucky to find it unregistered with just about everything I wanted on it bar adaptive xenons, window blinds and storage pack. Believe it or not it is Suzuka Grey, dealer admits his photos are not the best. Picking up on October 31st.

Good luck with the 3. I can't compare mine to a 4 as it is my first RS. You can't help but smile after trip out. :biggrin3:

I still need practicality with a 3 and 6 year old but to be honest I thought the smaller boot would be an issue. However thinking it through I only ever use it fully 1-2 times per year for holidays so to have a large estate car which gets used a maximum once a year is not necessary. It will also supposedly be 50% more fuel efficient for the long journeys for work.

The other choice was a used R8 V8 (and a very nice one too) but that would have meant buying the wife a Juke for the family wagon which all in all was turning into a very expensive proposition. The finance on the RS3 monthly is less that the RS4 and I save not having the Ibiza anymore albeit it ties me into a car for another 4 years whereas the RS4 would have been mine outright in 12-18 months. But on a month by month basis I'm quids in and that was what this exercise was about. I'm not convinced the RS3 will be as good as the RS4; it's different but for my place in life it works and I can always come back. I will definetly miss the V8 sound and the completness of the car but I'm confident the new owner will look after it as good as I have if not better.

Looking good P_G. The RS3 is growing on me. The Daytona RS3 at ADI looked quick and well balanced.

I doubt the new owner will look after it quite as well P_G. But he'll try!

So I noticed but then Mr. Harris appears to have lost perspective on everyday usability, practicality in lieu of being the best drivers car. And I don't agree with him on BM interiors as they stll look bland to me. For my driving ability and what I neeed it for it is the sensible choice and has nearly as much usable power. If I was looking purely for a drivers car I would have gone for the R8. And you know that ultimately my RS3 won't stay standard for too long..... :sekret:
