Suffice to say I have not had a witty reply to my last comment to him on E-Bay.

Well it's hard to tell if there is a new owner, at first we're told that the car sold in a day at the full asking price, next we're told the car was removed from ebay due to time wasters.
TBF it's hard to sell this car, I mean, it's not a replica. You can't make a replica of something that never existed. So that leaves you with a one-off but this falls over flat when he starts saying "Audi did it". I struggle to think why Audi would buy in poor quality R8 replica wheels, a horrible "stealth" bodykit and then top it all off with knock-off black RS4 badges. The RS4 Sticker in the middle of the steering wheel looks particularly OEM, doesn't it?
Poor miserable car, ruined. This probably started out as a smart looking car, now look at it. Hmmmm, some people could say the same about what I've done with my car, best I be leaving now.

His not only misusing the RS4 badge, but his also making false advertisment of a product which doesn't exisit. Basicly his lying to potential customers about the car.

No, no. He sidesteps all that by saying it was an Audi dealer that branded this car. Silly boy.

But this gives me an idea

Thanks to this forum you had my husband in tears last night, he only wanted to get the best price for his car, and only posted what some dodgy salesman had told him, the moment you all started having a go at him he did the right thing and took it down off ebay. I think enough is enough, you got a rise out of him by emailing all day yesterday, he is upset enough as it is. The car is not sold and will not be advertised anywhere as an RS4 should it be sold in the future....now please... leave us alone.

FON.

Grown man in tears. Wife comes to his rescue and fights battle. Dodgy car salesman. Asked to be left along on a public forum.
This has become very tasty! I call troll, post car plus custard or GTFO.

Rosiemay: I would suggest your husband takes action against the salesman.

With the greatest of respect to you if you choose to read this message, your husband is adept and quick enough to ascertain that E-mail enquiries via E-bay are members on here, myself included so he could have easily have found this forum and other Audi RS enthusiast forums long before advertising your car on E-bay and if he can do that, then he would have realised there was never a B6 RS4 with a 3 litre V6 Tiptronic box in it with R8 OEM / replica wheels and shouldn't have sold it as such. For me the aim was not to get a rise out of your husband but to higlight how wrong and potentially fraudulent the description was.

Are you seriously suggesting that Cardiff Audi sold it to your husband as an RS4? If so take issue with them through trading standards as misdecription of goods. But as said I find it very hard to believe given your husband's internet prowess that he is this niaive and if anything got found out, tried to lay blame on to someone else by amending the description and then got found out again.

If you had sold it as a B6 A4 with RS4 appendages you would have got some raised eyebrows regarding taste perhaps, but to try and sell it as an exclusve RS4 stinks.

Does anyone else feel slightly bad that we made her husband cry, or is it just me?
Rosie - It is a nice car, and the advert was quite well written too, apart from the RS4 stuff. Just tell your hubby to take the RS4 badges off it, and sell the replica R8 wheels separately, not only will he make more money this way but the car will be easier to sell. Also, the car is worth around £4k, so maybe lower expectations too. My brother in law sold his Milltek'd B6 S4 4.2 V8 with 20k less miles then your A4 on it for £7.5k last month, and I'm sure that you can pick up a B6 S4 with similair mileage to your A4 for £6k. I hope that helps put your 'Buy it now' price of £7.5k for an A4, into perspective.

P.S Please go back and slap the dealer that sold him the car as an RS4. :bash:

I've been to Cardiff Audi and they're a big and reputable dealer, who i believe are specialising in RS and premium Audi models. In light of this, I really can't believe they'd have sold this model as an RS as they've a proffessional reputation to uphold

Is this poster really his wife or someone pretending to be in order to embellish our need for further Internet debate
I feel a custard pic test coming up ...

If this poster really is who they claim to be, and the sale from Cardiff Audi was genuinely made in false pretences, then you'd have a mightily strong case against Audi uk for misrepresentation of sale of goods.
Direct message me and I can help
If not, and you are, as we assumed, just knowingly trying to sell something that isn't what you say it is, then please don't waste our time and allow us to return to entertaining ourselves at your misguided expense

Rather than all the speculation, why doesn't one of the interested parties, just phone Audi - Cardiff !

The seller bought all the RS4 badges (and other bits) himself, just look at his ebay buying history.
