You've said absolutely nothing in that statement and now your indignity is putting me right in my place.

Well done!
Can you even see the other posts above indicating the fact you're obviously looked upon as a clown?

I dont have to say anything, your post clearly showing you trying to mock me says it all.

I have no point to make with you, because I have absolutely no interest or motivation to put you in any place, deserved or otherwise. Your comments are free for all to interpret. I interpreted them as mockery and since I have no time or motivation to say anything to someone I have never met on an internet forum I'll simply continue to ignore you.

I chose not to mock or join in with your display because I have dignity, which is more than you clearly have!

simmer down boys, lol
taking 2 spots is not cool
but is no excuse for damaging the guys car

I park far away (the lazy people are usually the careless ones too) and try to find an end space and snug tight against the 'dead' side leaving as much as possible for the occupied side
my wife thinks I'm goofy

Amazingly sharp wit you have Guffy, I can see why you struggle to fit between two parking lines. Re: narrow spaces, they are a bitch, they cause me to rage but I do my best and park it in a single space. It's a challenge, it ain't impossible.

Well said and enjoy your double space parking and all of the rewards it brings you.

Pretty pissed off really, someone mentioned they were doing 2-for-1 on White Lightning I just headed down and someone in an RS had taken up 2 spaces!

Seriously guys lighten up obviously a clash of opinions here and both parties have made justified points and voiced there own opinions but neither of you are going to change each others minds on what you deemed right and wrong so this will just be insults bouncing back and forth might as well just lock the thread and jump onto another where we all praise how good the RS4 is :kissmyrings:

Failing that I'm thinking from reading the posts on this thread the easiest option is to carry my own line marker so I can park where I want and make the space around my car as big as I deem necessarily and that would be the solution to all parking problems.

I agree that taking 2 spots is not the right thing to do as others here i park at the furthest end of the car park but i feel sorry for your damage and the fact some prick just drove off.
Just a thought would ASDA have a cctv that covered that area of the car park you might get a reg from the tape? at least you could get the fecker

Me, sanctimoniousness? Apparently not, according to Prawn I have no morale standing.
pekingprawn wrote: Your post actually puts you in the league of people who turn a blind eye to the moral point of these stories in favour of having a go at someone who's simply protecting their own property and making a moral standing. you either have no moral standing about the same things, or you're one of them - either way, it's people like you that make this country the <beep> heap it's fast turning into
Here is a little test...
A guy comes on to this forum and posts the following:
"I was driving on the M3 today, traffic was kinda busy but the outside lane was empty. So I got in it and I set the cruise control to something like 75MPH, then after a while, this car comes up behind me and stays there, after five or ten minutes the car just keeps getting closer to me. We're both going close to the national speed limit or thereabouts but the car behind really wants to get past. I'm not doing anything wrong, there are no cars in front of me and I can move over at any time but there's also no chance for them to get past me on the inside, so I ignore them for another 5 minutes. Then the car is flashing lights me, I ignore it. Then finally after a bit more of this, I ignore the car some more. Then there's all clear lanes ahead so I pull into the middle lane and the car goes past. Once past, some stones are thrown up peppering my car and shattering the windscreen. I think this was completely inconsiderate behaviour on behalf of the other driver, what do you all think?

How do you think this guy be would be received on this forum?

We've all got our bugbears, the one above is very common.
For me, it's parking.
It's a very simple task, just park between the lines, if you cannot, then clearly you belong back in the kitchen making sandwiches. I don't care if you've got an Overfinch or a Smart car. Give it a go, make an effort. Just plopping a dirty big RangeRover into a twin lined space at a 45 degree angle is just plain insulting, there's no need for it and if you've got a smaller B7 then there's certainly no excuse. Also, as Prawn discovered, it doesn't stop your car getting dinged, some could argue that it would become more of a target. But by all means, do come on to a forum and blame someone for the state of the country after they mock you for hogging two spaces. Another top tip; don't forget to request that the thread is deleted but when it's not, remember to systematically delete all of your posts in the offending thread. When all of that fails, you can play the dignity and morale high-ground card, that will nullify everything. Standard.

A typical car park scrape and run is a very shitty thing to do and could be summed as; bad etiquette, discourteous and selfish.
A typical car parked across two spaces is a very shitty thing to do and could be summed as; bad etiquette, discourteous and selfish.

The above are the same kind of knob and it's knobs like them that make this country the <beep> heap it's fast turning into...

iv read all of this and im in bam bam's camp and think he's talked alot of sense in between his natural comedic manner

iv been guilty of parking between two spaces in the past, but know full well if i ever see someone having done it, i curse them as pr*cks !

as bam said, a) its proven it doesnt stop car park dings, so therefore serves no purpose as a method of protection, and simply causes more hassle and offence

the risks of the car park are inherent with the car park ... you accept the risk that whenever you drive your car somewhere public, its liable to damage ... thats why car insurance is mandatory

Just buy a BMW for when you have to park in dogy places as I have, that reminds me actually. I need safe parking and a hotel for my RS6 in central London if someone can recommend one, that would be great.

OMG THATS THE BEST IDEA EVER :biggrin3:

We can all get BMWs and park like real owners do, drive like they do (oakley sunglasses and bluetooth earphones - Clarkson-esque style)!!!

I'm buying one. A 3 series wagon for the shopping. Can leave it out on the street, even spread a little rust under the paint so when others door-bump me it will infect them and start spreading it! :jump:

Seriously now, wtf is wrong with people in this forum lately? Everything is an excuse for huuuuuge arguments... Humanity is <beep>, be the difference you wanna see and carry on.
Black 4.2 RS4 Avant, Titan wheels.
Going for K&N, flat bottom steering, LED rear lights, Dectane headlights, Milltek or Tubi exhaust.

I was just kidding by the way, I had my BMW before the RS 6 and got it for its 50MPG + ability, not to park in dogy places, ahem, and if we are going off what Clarkson reckons then BMW are no longer the guys you describe but it is in fact all us Audi owners
