Im interested too in the front discs.Few questions though. The standard rear ones are drilled whereas these are grooved, so won't the fronts look out of place (mismatch) ? Would we need to use a bigger pad size for the 380's? Or is pad size predetermined by caliper size? In which case is there no downside in using standard calipers on the 380s? If pad size is same as standard , thus contact surface with disc is same as with standard size disc , then how is there a benefit in using a bigger rotor? Otherwise I suppose the only downside to using larger rotors is u can't fit 18s in winter. Excuse the dumb/basic questions

You are putting on larger diameter discs and then spacing the calipers out slightly so you use standard pads, calipers etc. The improvement will come from the increase in leverage from the discs being a little further from the hub, there may be a cooling benefit as there is more disc area. Cosmetically they must look great & really fill the wheels, there is a weight saving over standard so I can see the appeal but for me I am going to stick to the std size.

Still interested. But again, are peeps not bothered about the mismatch between fronts and rears ie front discs bein grooved and rears bein oem drilled? It seems to bother me , perhaps it shouldn't

They are slow because they aren't interested in discounts. I asked when I was looking to buy fronts and rears plus other bits and no give at all.

Looks like I wil be sticking to plan A, ie to buy the phaeton discs. I take it one can buy the phaeton discs from any Audi dealer? If not, then from any Volkswagen dealer? I know stoke Audi sell them from Wat I've gathered from forums. If the oem from dealers is £550 a pair, then don't the likes of Philip walker sell the same oem ones a lot cheaper or any other indy?
