I have deliberately held onto higher revs for longer today and I can tell it likes it (as do I). When you smell how much fuel it's dumping in on cold starts you can see why it needs a good spanking (once warm) and I haven't even started mine on a really cold day having bought it in June.

Good Point!

Mine’s done 1700 miles now since the clean. I also had new cam chain tensioners and a new clutch while it was all in bits plus oil and filter change. (obviously!!).

The intention now is to have an emissions test at 3000 miles together with another oil and filter change. I’m considering doing this ever 5000 miles thereafter to gauge the results. I have the fail sheet that gives the emissions count so was hoping to monitor the deterioration. I’ve also reset the OBC2 so I can monitor the kind of driving Ave Speed etc. I also intend to try and stick to Shell V-Power 99 octane where possible.

Keep you posted
